Weather permitting, at Pāhoehoe Beach Park

Who:

Facilitated by Crystal; open to 10 people*

Why:
To slow down; become present with our breath and in turn, our bodies;  and to mindfully move our bodies in gentle, restorative ways so that we can set a clear, simple intention for the next moon cycle. We get to do this in community with other humans, and we get to be reminded that we are not alone in this experience of life through the shared reflections and intentions from the group.

Down To Earth (D2E) is a circle community where we come together, reflect on a topic, become present with our bodies through breath and/or movement, and authentically share our reflections with one another.

Planting the Seed is held around the New Moon, and the contemplation theme is guided by the astrological sign the moon is in at that time. The sign the moon falls under will also guide the parts of the body that will get a little more attention during the gentle, mindful movement portion of the gathering. As the New Moon marks the beginning of the next moon cycle, we also utilize this time to set a simple and clear intention for the month ahead.

Join us for this grounding, mindful, and intentional experience to become present with your precious body; and get ready to share your own reflection or intention!

This offering is $20.00 per person

Dark-Background

What will you intend on creating during the next two weeks or lunar cycle? What can you let go of during this moon phase, so that what you want to bring to bear, can be planted in the space created by doing so?

Planting the Seed is a time where we will set an intention for the next moon cycle. The group will be guided to tap into their breath to let go of everything but the present moment we are in. Once we acquaint ourselves with the breath, the group will then be guided through an opening meditation that will set the stage for the contemplation theme. As everyone tunes into what is present within their bodies around the theme, the group is guided through a movement practice to help ground the individuals into the present moment. We then get to digest the experience and center ourselves into silence or stillness through a short resting pose. From there, we take a few minutes to observe how our minds and bodies feel, and then we consider an intention or reflection that we can share with the others.

Within this 90-minute container, you are offered the experience of slowing down; becoming present with your breath and moving your body to clear out the noise around the wisdom that is already stored within you. From a tuned-in place, you can set an impactful intention and have the opportunity to verbalize what is wanting to be planted during this moon phase.

In honor of the dark moon, the guided movements will be gentle, slow, and restorative in nature. Everyone is encouraged to listen to their own body’s needs and desires, and to adjust as needed. Crystal will do her best to provide modifications throughout the practice.

Throughout the guided movement, all will gently be prompted to notice what is moving through their system as they move around, and to notice any difference as we are all guided back to stillness.

Everyone will have the opportunity to share their intentions or insights. Here, we are all gifted the reminder that we are not alone, and that we are all human beings living this experience that is life.
